Based in Cape Town, Ronin™ (SA) was established in 1995 and takes its name from the Legend of the Forty-Seven (47) Ronin, an icon of loyalty to both Master and State in Japanese culture.
By 2001 Ronin™ (SA) had obtained international acclaim as a provider of progressive high risk close protection training to the fast growing international industry.
Ronin™ (SA) ensured that it gained the requisite official South African Government approval by the Conventional Arms Control Committee to conduct training of both Foreign & SA Nationals. Ronin™ (SA) currently provides training to specialised elements within South African Government Services. The current manager of Ronin™ (SA), Adv. TJ Irvine-Smith, chaired the Standards Generating Committee on Close Protection for SAQA and facilitated the creation of the National Qualification in Close Protection used by Police, Military and Civilian agencies today.
Please note that there is a company within the United Kingdom trading under the name "Ronin Concepts Security Elite Limited", which was incorporated in 2009 and is not affiliated with Ronin™ (SA) in any way.
Hostile & Civilian Close Protection Training

Ronin Graduate Community
Ronin™ (SA) is proud of each and every graduate and remains in contact with them via the graduate network. Graduates use this network to share work opportunities after they graduate and are a huge part of our success in the market. We pay tribute to them and we thank them one and all for their contributions to the Ronin™ (SA) brands success.
