Accreditation	Edexcel (BTEC Level 4 in Paramedic Practice) SWAST (Module J) International Maritime Organization via the South African Maritime Safety Authority (Medical Competency Certificate)
Global Health Professions Councils	By virtue of the specific outcomes covered on the Advanced Remote Medic Programme, Graduates are at liberty to apply to any Health Professions Council via their International Equivalency / Recognition of Prior Learning Route for appropriate registration.
Description	Ronin™ (SA)’s Advanced Remote Medic Course uses the Institute of Health Care Development Paramedic modules (IHCD module G, H, I & J) as well as the Medical Competency Award accredited by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) as a basis for its training. The course objective is to train Remote Medics with sufficient skills & knowledge to work in a remote setting in some of the world's most hostile and challenging environments e.g. anti-piracy operation aboard ships, aboard aircraft on remote expeditions in high risk close protection environments and remote special forces operations. Ronin™ (SA)'s international reputation for excellence affords a student a rare training experience within a country with the highest trauma levels per capita in the world, as well as high levels of poverty with the associated disease spectrum. Pre-Course Requirements	IHCD Ambulance Aid certification (UK) Registration as an Intermediate Life Support Practitioner with any national pre-hospital care regulatory body
Duration	Theory Phase: 8 Weeks Residential Theory Phase (South Africa) Frontline Ambulance Placement: 500 hours Hospital Placement: 360 hours Both the Frontline Ambulance & Hospital Placements can be completed in the United Kingdom with partner frontline ambulance services and in leading academic hospitals with whom we have reciprocal agreements in place
