To the Family and Friends of Des,

Our heartfelt condolences go out to you now
and always. Des was a gentle soul who loved his fellow man more then himself and
has given the ultimate gift so that others might live. We pray that you will
draw solace from the fact that all that separates us from our loved ones, is
time - and we will be reunited sooner then we know .

To the family of Des

I only knew Des through the Ronin course, but can 100% say
I have never met a more honest, gentle lad before. He would always look out for
me and Longey when we had too many in Pirates!! He was a good soldier and a
great friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My deepest
sympathies and condolences go out to your family.

I met des in London whilst embarking to Iraq with Aegis. I was on his induction
course with him. I remember him telling me about a book called Sniper 1. Great
book. Des was an awesome lad.

I only found out about his untimely demise
through another bloke who was with us at the Aegis Compound in the Green
Zone.

I did not know Des very well however I found him to be one on the most
solid well grounded Lads I had met in a Long time. The world will miss blokes
like Des.

He went way before his time.

To his family my deepest condolences he
will be greatly missed
